Sharing Windows wireless Internet with Android

Today I ran into need to have Internet on my mobile phone through the PC no matter why.

The usual approach

I tried the usual approach - to set-up a wireless ad-hoc network from my Windows PC and then connect to it from the Android. It seems that the Android can't see the network so I can't connect to it.
On the Internet it's written a lot about downloading applications and programs but I wanted to do it with the programs I currently have.

The solution

The solution is this article: http://bloggersoham.blogspot.com/2012/08/share-pc-internet-with-android-phone.html
Notice that I used cable connection between the router and the PC.

In short: Open the cmd and type:

netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=Test5 key=12345678 keyusage=persistent
netsh wlan start hostednetwork

Now go to Control Panel \ Network and Internet \ Network Connections. Choose the active Internet connection that you have. Right click on it, Properties, Sharing, check Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection and choose the connection name of the new network that you just set up, then click OK.

Turn on the wireless onto the mobile phone and connect to this network.

Ta-daa!

When you want to stop the network type:

netsh wlan stop hostednetwork

Good luck.
